My passion is also running. I did my first full trail marathon on 12/4/10. It was snowing and hilly and beautiful! I also love to travel – Alaska is my favorite place and watching the grizzly bears in Katmai National Park.

My passion is enjoying triathlons and the adrenaline and joy I get from competing in them. I love the way I can just leave everything I have out on the course and it’s something I can do to really clear my mind and be free of daily stressors. Someday, I’d like to do a full Ironman. Mostly just to say I’ve done it. Last year, I never thought I would do a half Ironman, and I said I would never do a full marathon. By the end of the year I had done 4 half Ironmans and a full marathon! I love the challenge and finding out what I am capeable of, mentally and physically!

My passion is the marathon, both running in it and coaching people to successful marathons. The feeling of reaching a goal in a race is awesome, but reaching that goal after 26.2 miles is something else. I hope to be able to coach people to their dream 26.2 mile race! My ultimate “adventure” race would be to win the Honalulu Marathon in mid-December. What a better get-away from the potential snow and cold than Honalulu and to win that prestigious marathon would make the adventures on the island amazing.
